KSS Fuels introduces competitor survey targets and event/promotional pricing as new functionality for its fuel price management solution, PriceNet. Additionally, Performance Analysis, Hot Spot Analysis and Updated Database for new markets are also being introduced for LocationXpert, MPSI’s network planning application.
Competitor price reporting ensures that prices are generated more accurately by using the latest competitor prices available within PriceNet. This is achieved by setting up a schedule of competitor price survey targets for a selected number of own sites. This schedule, combined with alert functionality notifies and tracks that surveys are entered on time to a defined schedule. Event and promotional pricing allows you to indicate when sales values are being influenced by factors other than price, and instructs the pricing system how to handle your pricing data in particular market environments. Business reporting may be used to report on sales data with a particular sales effect code through the KSS Analytics dashboards.
A new feature of LocationXpert provides the user the capability of updating their databases, between surveys, based on tactic scenarios. As new-to-industry outlets open, outlets change brands or close, the user can update their database with these changes to understand the impact to their network and the competition.
LocationXpert also provides prescriptive tools to assist in developing strategic network plans. Two valuable features are Hot Spots and Performance Analysis. The Hot Spots feature clearly identifies the best geographic areas to search for new site opportunities. The Performance Analysis feature categorizes outlets based on their performance versus potential. The results clearly show which outlets are candidates for investment, divestment or simply maintaining as is.
