New Name Reinforces Brand, Strengthens Company’s Position in the Marketplace

KSS has announced that it has changed its name from Knowledge Support Systems, Inc. – or KSS, Inc. – to KSS Fuels, Inc. This name change is effective immediately, and the company’s new web site is www.kssfuels.com.
“We made this name change to more directly reflect our core competencies and expertise in the fuels business, ranging from wholesale to retail. It therefore made sense to add the word “Fuels” to our name, and more literally tie this expertise to our brand,” said Bob Stein, president and CEO of KSS Fuels.
KSS Fuels also introduced the new tagline “Knowledge beyond the numbers” to illustrate the company’s 20-plus years of research and math modeling techniques. Combined with the company’s 100-plus years of practical expertise to help fuel retailers and wholesalers analyze data to better understand their business, KSS Fuels offers a suite of solutions through its Software, Analytics and Consulting services.
But according to Stein, KSS Fuels is more than just a software company. “Our people, solutions and knowledge not only provide fuel pricing efficiency and expertise to our customers but also the ability to analyze, evaluate and recommend strategies and tactics to improve overall profitability. We have the capability to provide ‘knowledge beyond the numbers’ when implementing our software or analytics or consulting services.”
Stein added that the company’s background and knowledge of the fuels industry also gives KSS Fuels a unique understanding of its customers’ overall business needs and issues. “We are well-positioned to help companies examine and implement strategic changes that will affect their overall profitability in the long-term, while supplying them with real-time knowledge in the short-term that allows immediate benefits. One example of this growing capability is demonstrated in our ability to help fuels retailers understand the importance of the relationship of fuel gallons and traffic to the inside merchandise sales, thereby focusing on overall profitability of the store, not just fuel on its own.”
Overall, Stein adds that KSS Fuels has experienced solid growth in the past year, along with a greater brand position in the marketplace. “It’s been an exciting year so far at KSS Fuels as we’ve been encouraged by the gradual economic improvement, which has resulted in significant growth by adding many new customers in North America, Europe and Australia and implementing new value add services and analytics to our existing customer base,” said Stein. “Revising our name and tagline is an important step in solidifying our market leadership position moving forward, and further supports our customers in this space.
